NEW WINDSOR, N.Y. – KVUE has confirmed an Austin stunt pilot died after his plane crashed during practice for a New York Air Show on Friday.
LiveAirShowTV president Jeff Lee confirmed Andrew Wright died in the crash.
Witnesses say Wright was doing tricks Friday when he started spinning to the ground.
Lee said Wright was planning to an attempt a world record at the Atlantic City Air Show for an Inverted Flat Spin. That show is scheduled for Sept. 2.
