AUSTIN, Texas — A young girl is dead following a shooting in northeast Austin.
Police said they were called out to a shooting at The Bridge at Harris Ridge apartments near East Howard Lane and Dessau Road around 6 p.m.
Authorities said when they arrived, they found a young girl with "trauma to the body." She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said there is no suspect in custody at this time and that the shooting appears to be an isolated incident. However, police said a nearby gas station is also being investigated as a secondary crime scene, but it's unclear if the scenes are connected.
