AUSTIN — The Austin Police Department have captured the suspects in a bank robbery in Northwest Austin Friday afternoon. Adam Robinson and Jessica Rutherford were arrested after being tied to the string of bank robberies over the past week.
Police said the robbery happened at the Wells Fargo Bank just after noon. The bank is located near the intersection of Mesa Drive and Spicewood Springs Road.
Police described the suspect as a white man that is approximately 20 to 30 years old with red, swollen hands. He is roughly six feet tall and was wearing an orange sweatshirt, dark pants and a baseball cap. The man was reportedly last seen walking towards Mopac.
Police said there were no injuries reported in this incident. The suspect reportedly passed the teller a note, demanded money and fled on foot.
