1 hospitalized after rollover crash in South Austin

The crash happened near Interstate 35 and Woodward Street just after 4:30 a.m. Sunday.

AUSTIN, Texas — One person is in the hospital after a rollover crash in South Austin.

According to Austin-Travis County EMS, the crash happened near Interstate 35 and Woodward Street just after 4:30 a.m. Sunday.

One person was pinned inside the vehicle but was extricated by ATCEMS medics and was transported to St. David's South Austin Medical Center with potentially serious injuries.

Three other people were also in the vehicle. According to our partners at the Austin American-Statesman, they sustained minor injuries that were not expected to be life-threatening.

The Austin Fire Department tweeted a photo of the vehicle, showing severe damage.

At this time, the cause of the crash is unknown.
