Capital Metro, the public transportation agency in Austin, announced March 17 that services will change in an effort to limit the spread of the coronavirus.
CapMetro said most bus services will operate on their normal Sunday schedules. The agency is updating schedules and maps on their website. MetroRail services will operate its Monday through Friday daytimes schedule with no Saturday services and no late-night trips on Friday, the agency said.
The agency is also changing the way passengers board buses.
Unless customers are paying with cash, they must enter the bus through the rear door.
