AUSTIN, Texas — The Trail of Lights at Zilker Park was canceled on Saturday evening due to rain. Saturday was the final scheduled night of the event for the year.
Event organizers said all those who pre-purchased tickets for Saturday should monitor their email for information regarding a refund. Those who purchased parking passes will be refunded by Ticketbud to the original method of payment within five to seven business days.
On Thursday and Friday, the Polo Field parking area by the Zilker Tree was closed due to rain, but the event still went ahead.
Earlier Saturday, Trail of Lights urged eventgoers to check their email and event social media pages for any weather updates. Scattered showers are expected for Saturday evening ahead of more widespread rain and storms Sunday morning.
