AUSTIN, Texas — We hope you've had a great week!

We're tracking a rather hot and dry weekend across Central Texas with highs in the upper 90s to near triple-digits with mainly sunny skies all weekend long.

With that, it's important to note that lake levels, especially Lake Travis, are still lower than where they should be this time of year.

Lakegoers need to watch out for any objects poking near the surface that would normally be deep underwater but are exposed due to the hydrological drought. As of Friday, Lake Travis is just 42% full, with Lake Buchanan 75% full.

A reminder about the importance of life jackets for everyone in the boat under the age of 16, as required by law, but also to lather on sunscreen every couple of hours.

UV indices will be an 11 for Saturday and Sunday, which is in the extreme category.

It's going to be the perfect weekend to hit the lakes, but be sure to take every precaution to stay safe out on the water.

Not only will we have a great weekend forecast for the lake, but that'll continue for most of next week even after a frontal system slides through. There won't be much of an effect from it except for a slight dip in temperatures and small rain chances.

Your seven-day forecast is below.
