AUSTIN, Texas — Police are investigating a body discovered near a business shopping center in southwest Austin.
The body was found just before 9 a.m. Thursday near the West Woods Shopping Center on Bee Caves Road near Old Walsh Tarlton.
According to police, officers responded to the area after a call about an urgent welfare check. When they arrived, they found the deceased person.
Police have not identified the body at this time and say the death is not currently being investigated as a homicide.
