AUSTIN — The job market is hot -- especially in Austin and across the State of Texas.
Numbers from the Texas Workforce Commission show Austin's unemployment rate holding steady at 2.7 percent. Texas' unemployment rate is 3.7 percent.
Both numbers are a 42-year low.
Texas employers added 38,000 jobs in December, according to the Texas Workforce Commission -- for a total of 391,800 jobs in 2018.
