FORT WORTH, Texas — Are you ready for MLB All-Star week in North Texas? Well, what better way to kick things off than to watch the iconic Budweiser Clydesdales deliver beer to multiple bars in the historic Fort Worth Stockyards?

On Friday, July 12, the famous Clydesdales will gallop along the Stockyards, delivering beer to iconic venues such as Cowtown Coliseum and Billy Bob's.

This kickoff to All-Star week festivities will begin at 10:30 a.m. and last until 12:50 p.m.

According to a release from a brand spokesperson, Budweiser is the MLB's longest-tenured sponsor and this event serves as a way to engage with baseball fans as they come together to celebrate the league's best athletes.

Who are the Budweiser Clydesdales?

According to Anheuser-Busch, it all started in April 1933 when August A. Busch, Jr. and Adolphus Busch III surprised their father, August A. Busch, Sr., with a six-horse Clydesdale hitch to commemorate the repeal of Prohibition of beer.

Soon after, the Clydesdales became a marketing tool and later a symbol for the iconic beer, celebrating the brewer's heritage, tradition and commitment to quality, Anheuser-Busch says.

Currently, the Clydesdales live at the Anheuser-Busch Breweries in St. Louis for public viewing. However, they take numerous trips around the country each year to continue to spread the brand's name.

Of course, these Clydesdales are cared for with the utmost attention as they have full teams dedicated to grooming and diet oversight.
