Christmas came early in Kyle this year with special Santa visit

Santa Claus is coming to...Kyle? St. Nick paid an early visit to a few Kyle neighborhoods on Monday.

KYLE, Texas — Red suit, red hat, red...firetruck?

That’s what was on the list that Santa Claus was checking twice on Monday.

Santa rode around on a firetruck through different Kyle neighborhoods.

"We are taking Santa for rides around neighborhoods in town. We do this every year. We've been doing this at least 10 years,” Kyle Fire Chief Kyle Taylor said.

Kids lined up in their driveways to catch a glimpse of St. Nick riding down their street.

"There! Right there, right there!" screamed one little boy, bouncing up and down as he pointed toward the firetruck.

Christmas music, sirens and kids’ excited screams filled the air for about a hour and a half in the neighborhoods.

“This is what it's all about,” one mom said, smiling at her kids and their friends anxiously awaiting Santa’s arrival. “It’s the best night of their life that they can remember so far.”
