City council votes to get rid of overdue fees at Cedar Park libraries

Library lovers in Cedar Park don't need to worry about overdue fees anymore, thanks to a vote by the city council.

CEDAR PARK, Texas — Last week, the Cedar Park City Council voted to get rid of late fees at libraries throughout the city.

The fees used to range between 25 cents to two dollars a day, depending on the item checked out.

While this covers the late fees, you will still have to pay for lost, unreturned and damaged items.

Cedar Park joins a list of other Central Texas cities that have gotten rid of overdue fees, including Georgetown and Pflugerville.
