City engineer: Shoal Creek landslide repairs to take until early 2019

After a 300-foot section of the Shoal Creek Trail in Austin was closed due to a landslide in May, a city engineer said that repairs will likely start in a few months, according to KVUE's partners at the Austin American-Statesman.

Mike Kelly, the managing engineer for the city’s Watershed Protection Department, said construction should begin by October and will take about six months. Engineers are still testing and have not chosen a stabilization solution, Kelley said, though they’ve come up with a series of options.
