AUSTIN -- Parents, you've said it time and time again: don't play ball in the house! But now there's one toy that says go ahead, and claims it won't damage your furniture.
Hover Ball by Whamo-O is a soccer ball that supposedly floats like magic. The super glide technology promises soft and safe indoor fun.
We head to Round Rock's Voight Elementary where Luis, Reed, Paul, Alan, Dulce, and Marasa, are kicking it in the gym, ready to help out with this Does It Work.
Hover Ball is half a ball with a plastic flat bottom.
It doesn't really hover, instead it glides across the floor.
And it's so soft It won't hurt leave bumps bangs or scratches on the furniture.
The kids take it to the library, where it works well on carpet. While it does work on different kinds of floors, the kids say it wasn't perfect. Hover Ball tends to flip a lot.
Our Voight Elementary toy testers give Hover Ball 2 thumbs up and 4 thumbs in the middle.
