The court appearance for a former University of Texas student who is accused of stabbing a man to death on campus and injuring three others in May 2017 has been reset for Aug. 23, according to KVUE's media partners at the Austin American-Statesman.
Kendrex White, who's charged with aggravated assault and murder in the death of fellow student Harrison Brown, did not appear in court Monday, July 23, according to the Statesman.
He has pleaded not guilty to the murder charge by reason of insanity.
The Statesman reports that White's case has been stalled since March because prosecutors needed a chance to respond to White's attorneys' motion.
The update to White's case follows days after Meechaiel Criner was convicted of murdering freshman dance student Haruka Weiser on campus in April 2016. He was sentenced to life in prison.
