AUSTIN, Texas — One person has been pronounced dead after they were pulled from the water near Mansfield Dam late Monday night.
According to the Austin Fire Department (AFD), a caller reported that a body had been found just before midnight on Low Water Crossing Road, near Mansfield Dam.
AFD and the Travis County Sheriff's Office (TCSO) arrived at the scene, where AFD removed the body from the water.
The victim was pronounced dead on scene. It is not known at this time how they ended up in the water.
The TSCO is working to learn more but said this is currently not a homicide investigation.
