Deep Eddy Pool closed for repairs

The City of Austin said improvements include replacing a damaged bulkhead and upgrading older deck lighting.

AUSTIN, Texas — Deep Eddy Pool is closed for now as crews work to make some repairs.

The City of Austin said starting Monday, Jan. 8, the pool will be closed for eight weeks. Improvements will include replacing a damaged bulkhead and upgrading older deck lighting.

The City said this work was scheduled during the winter to help minimize impacts on public use of the popular pool.

As construction progresses, the City said any changes to Deep Eddy's closure schedule will be posted at austintexas.gov/parkclosures.

Typically, Deep Eddy is open daily from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends. It is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Year's Day and operates from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.

The pool is usually closed the first Tuesday of every month as well for scheduled maintenance.
