Drive-in movie theater makes grand debut in Buda

Buda opened a drive-in movie theater Friday, featuring many film classics that are sure to get you in the Halloween spirit.

BUDA, Texas — There's a new hot spot to check out in Buda, Texas.

Buda opened a drive-in movie theater Friday, featuring many film classics that are sure to get you in the Halloween spirit.

Doc's Drive-In Theatre featured the films "Rear Window," "Addams Family," and the "Goonies" during opening night and will be showing the same films on Saturday. In fact, the theater will be showing several other spooky films throughout October including "Casper," "Caroline," "Sleepy Hollow," "Beetlejuice" and more.

The owner told KVUE the screens are made from shipping containers and that there's also a special screen that can show 4K and 3D movies.

Movie goers can bring chairs, blankets and even their furry friends to Buda's new hot spot.

The theater is located at 1540 Satterwhite Road.
