It's an event that continues to keep Austin weird.
Hundreds gathered at Pease District Park in Central Austin Saturday to celebrate Eeyore's Birthday.
The festival has been an Austin staple since 1963 and is named after the donkey from the Winnie the Pooh book series.
For one Austin couple, the event marks a very special anniversary. It's where Jack and Carol first laid eyes on each other back in 1992.
"So it's the 25th anniversary of the day we first met... and I think we were both wearing the same clothes," Jack said.
Events at the party included face painting, live music and tons of food with sales going to benefit local non-profits.
