BEE CAVE, Texas – Two people are being transported to an Austin hospital after a crash involving an SUV an empty Lake Travis ISD school bus near Bee Cave on Wednesday afternoon, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.
The crash occurred near the intersection of State Highway 71 and Vail Divide, and there were no students on the bus. One eastbound lane of 71 is closed.
EMS said the two people in the SUV are being transported to University Medical Center-Brackenridge with potentially serious injuries. The driver of the bus refused treatment.
Motorists are being told to expect delays.
