DENVER – A fan was transported to the hospital Sunday afternoon after a fall in the stands of Sports Authority Field during the Denver Broncos game.
Denver Police say the 42-year-old victim suffered serious injuries after the fall.
Authorities say he and his wife had a friend whose hat flew off and landed on the next landing over. The two landings were separated by a straight fall down.
As the victim tried to jump to the other landing, he missed, falling several stories and landing on a concrete ramp.
Authorities say the victim was "highly intoxicated."
He was transported to Denver Health Medical Center. He is listed in critical condition.
Last month, a fan died after falling from the upper deck of Atlanta's Turner Field during a Braves-Yankees game.
