DPS confirmed to KVUE Thursday evening that officers responded to a fatal crash on U.S. 281 and Hof Brau Loop, just north of Farm to Market Road 962 near the Burnet and Blanco County line.
DPS said it received the call about the crash at 8:38 p.m. Thursday.
The crash involved only one vehicle, officials said. DPS confirmed one person was killed in the crash.
U.S. 281 was closed in both directions due to the crash, DPS said.
