LIBERTY HILL, Texas -- An 18-year-old woman was killed in a crash on Highway 183 in Williamson County Sunday Sunday afternoon, according to authorities.
The Williamson County Sheriff's Office said the two-vehicle crash happened at FM 1869 just after 3:30 p.m.
According to the preliminary investigation, a vehicle was traveling northbound on U.S. 183 when the driver, identified by authorities as Sihyeon Ryo Stephans, an 18-year-old high school student from Copperas Cove, swerved off the road. Officials said Stephans attempted to steer the car back correctly but ended up skidding into the southbound lane of U.S. 183. Another car attempted to slow down but still struck Stephans vehicle. Stephans was ejected from her vehicle and died at the scene.
