AUSTIN, Texas — Kolt is on a roll!
The new Fayette County K-9 helped sniff out $5 million in cocaine during a traffic stop on I-10 Friday.
The Fayette County Sheriff's Office said Randy Thumann and his trusty K9 partner stopped a car they believed was involved in narcotics trafficking.
Thumann was given permission to search the vehicle and reportedly found that each seat was made with after-market compartments used to hide cocaine. Approximately 50 kilos of cocaine, which is estimated to cost $5 million, was found and removed from the vehicle.
The driver was identified as Francisco Rodriquez, 50, and arrested for drug possession.
