AUSTIN, Texas — More than a dozen people can't return to their homes after a fire Tuesday morning at a South Austin apartment complex.
According to the Austin Fire Department (AFD), crews arrived to find the fire burning through the roof of a two-story apartment at 6808 South Interstate 35 southbound.
AFD said six total units were impacted: three from the fire and three from water damage.
Fifteen residents were forced to leave the apartment complex. Management and the Red Cross are working to find them places to stay.
No injuries were reported. The AFD is working to determine the cause of the fire.
