AFD responds to East Austin structure fire

Crews responded to the scene of the second-alarm fire early Tuesday morning.

AUSTIN, Texas — The Austin Fire Department (AFD) responded to a structure fire in East Austin early Tuesday morning. 

According to a social media post from the AFD, the fire started just after 6 a.m. at a building located at 5325 Levander Loop, near East Seventh Street and Airport Boulevard. 

The fire was upgraded to a second alarm at approximately 6:30 a.m., and crews soon found another fire inside empty spaces on the roof. 

No injuries have been reported, and the AFD is examining the structure to determine damages and possible cause.
