TRAVIS COUNTY, Texas — Travis County has seen in immense amount of rainfall in the month of October.
Saturday was calling for more rain, but it held off as thousands of people from around the world piled into Circuit Of The Americas.
KVUE spoke to many fans over the course of day 2. Fans said the possibility of rain didn't concern them and that it didn't dampen the upbeat atmosphere.

“It didn’t affect us making our way up here luckily," said Tony DeMaria, who drove from Waco.
DeMaria said it's been great to have an event like this come to Austin because of how many people from around the world it draws every year.
“Its amazing to see something that’s such a worldwide impact. I mean, you walk around and you’re constantly hearing different dialects, different languages being spoken. I mean you see people from all over the world. Its really kind of awesome," said DeMaria.
One of those places was Colombia where Diego Romero came from with his family.
“Its very fun because we came together. We don’t spend too much time together in Colombia. We have a lot of time together here,” said Romero.
The Travis County Sheriff's Office sent out a warning to all driver's that the rain and flood situation in the Hill Country could cause road closures as waters continue to rise in the lakes and rivers downstream. More rain was in the forecast for Saturday, but it held off.
“I think rain makes things a little more intense but yeah no I think it would be the same,” said Andrea Fischer who came from Wisconsin.
“If it doesn’t affect the race it won’t affect me,” said Gina McGauley, an Austin resident.
The main races will start Sunday. Music artists are also being featured this year. Bruno Mars played Saturday and Britney Spears will perform on Sunday.
