AUSTIN — Governor Greg Abbott honored Texas veterans on Saturday as part of the Wreaths Across America event at the Texas State Cemetery.
It's become a tradition for the governor. This was his third year participating.
The annual event honors fallen veterans with wreath-laying ceremonies at their final resting places throughout the country.
"We are here today to remember them and thank them for their service at this holiday time of the year," Gov. Abbott said.
Wreaths Across America coordinates wreath-laying ceremonies at more than 1,400 locations across the United States.
