LAKE TRAVIS — A woman from the Graveyard Point neighborhood is getting help from local churches after floodwaters damaged her home.
Kim Lagrone knows all too well about flood damage. As of Saturday, everything from the first two floors of her home is outside on the lawn -- including memories from old photos.
"But what do you do? You just let it go and say 'goodbye'...and try to save what you can," Lagrone said. "And it's just been extremely difficult, yes. I mean, imagine being out of your house for now almost going on three weeks."
As for the clean-up efforts, Lagrone said she's getting help from local churches including Lakeway Church, Lake Travis Methodist, Hill Country Bible Church and Oak Hill Methodist.
"And they just lifted me out of this problem, and I'm so grateful," Lagrone said.
While losing valued items is difficult, the kindness from strangers is pulling Lagrone through.
Lake Travis is currently still 107 percent full.
