H-E-B to deliver grocery orders to doorstep only, stop delivering beer and wine to slow spread of coronavirus

The company says it's taken this step to protect its customers and employees.

AUSTIN, Texas — As part of an effort to protect its customers and its employees and to slow the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), H-E-B announced on Thursday its home delivery orders will be dropped off at their customers' doorstep.

The company said the delivery driver will leave the groceries at your front door without requiring your signature.

To continue that effort, customers will no longer be allowed to order beer or wine. The company wants to eliminate the need for customers to show their IDs to delivery drivers. You can still order beer and wine for curbside pick-up.
