San Marcos police looking for man last seen on Nov. 28

Jacob Newhouse, 45, was reported missing by a family member on Friday, Dec. 1.

SAN MARCOS, Texas — San Marcos police are looking for a man who has been missing for nearly a week.

The San Marcos Police Department (SMPD) said a family member reported 45-year-old Jacob Newhouse missing on Friday, Dec. 1. They told police that Newhouse had last been seen on Tuesday, Nov. 28, when he left his home on Escondido Circle without his wallet, phone, vehicle or keys.

SMPD contacted Newhouse's place of employment and learned he failed to show up for work on Nov. 29. SMPD said other information suggests Newhouse may have intent to harm himself, and police are searching for him as an endangered missing person.

Newhouse is 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs approximately 180 pounds. Police said he may have been wearing the green plaid jacket shown in the photo below when he went missing.
