AUSTIN, Texas — One person is dead after they were hit by a vehicle Friday morning along U.S. Highway 290.
According to Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services (ATCEMS) and the Travis County Sheriff's Office (TCSO), an adult was struck around 7:30 a.m. on the 10200 block of U.S. 290 eastbound at Circle Drive.
TCSO said the road would be closed for the next two hours, but it could be closed longer. Drivers should expect delays and avoid the area if possible.
