ROUND ROCK, Texas -- Williamson County authorities are investigating after 34-year-old Ali Khan was found dead in a home just north of Round Rock early Saturday morning.

The Williamson County Sheriff's Office received a call regarding a suspicious death at 1:05 p.m. at 2817 Los Alamos Court, where they found Khan dead in a house.

Authorities charged 32-year-old Nancy Khan, also known as Nancy Flores, with felony tampering/fabricating evidence. She is being held at the Williamson County Jail with a bond set at $1 million.

The victim's family released the following statement on Tuesday:

Ali Khan was a very hardworking man who deeply loved and cared for his family. He had devoted his entire life to his career and his family. What happened this weekend is a tragic loss for everyone who's lives he touched. We are very confused and upset by these events. We, just like everyone else is, are still trying to fit together the pieces. We are shocked and still processing this sudden and sad event.

Ali Khan's family also requested their privacy and said they want all investigating agencies "to continue their due diligence...(and) exert their maximum attention and efforts to bring justice to our beloved son and brother."

"We lost our child and brother this weekend and we have no idea who, what, where, and why this abhorrent event happened," the Khan family's statement continued.

The Khans got married in December, according to the Williamson County Sheriff's Office.
