RELATED:
BURNET COUNTY
The following is a guide for Burnet County residents who do not live within the city limits on how to manage and dispose of debris in areas affected by flooding.
- Separate debris into piles. For example:
- Branches and vegetation that can go into a wood chipper
- Metal and appliances. Remove food items from refrigerators and freezers.
- Clothing, furniture, lumber, siding and glass
- Do NOT include containers of hazardous chemicals such as pesticides, gasoline, aint, batteries, etc.
- Set piles of debris as close to the road as possible. If you have a curb near your home, put the piles on top of the curb.
- You may burn untreated lumber, limbs, trees and other plant debris as long as you do not create a traffic hazard. You must also notify the sheriff's department at 512-756-8080 before burning and make sure there is not a burn ban in place.
MARBLE FALLS
The following is a guideline on how Marble Falls residents can manage and dispose of debris in areas affected by flooding.
- Curb Side Brush Pick Up - The city will be conducting curb side brush pick up. Please only place brush at the curb. REMINDER: The City brush drop off location at 1901 Colt Circle will be receiving brush from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 19, and Saturday, Oct. 20.
- Household Trash and Debris – Roll-off dumpsters will be placed throughout neighborhoods and areas inundated by Lake Marble Falls, in the Lakeshore and Pecan Valley areas. Please only place household trash and debris into the roll off dumpsters. Hazard materials including tires, paint, pesticides, chemicals, appliances, explosives, or propane cylinders cannot be accepted.
- Construction or Demolition Debris - Construction and demolition debris will need to be properly disposed of by the property owner. Please do not place construction debris into City provided roll-off containers.
