Hutto police officer involved in convenience store shooting

Police said the officer was not injured in the shooting.

HUTTO, Texas — A Hutto police officer was involved in a shooting Saturday night at a convenience store off of Highway 79 and Tradesmens Park Drive, according to Hutto PD.

Police said the officer was not injured in the shooting. Hutto PD did not have any other information at this time other than the officer's condition.  

Hutto PD said the shooting was under investigation by the Texas Rangers.

KVUE reached out to the Texas Rangers for more information and were given the following statement: 

"The Texas Department of Public Safety Texas Rangers are assisting Hutto Police Department with the officer involved shooting. At this time there is no additional information involving the investigation."
