Hutto man charged with felony after exposing himself to children

AUSTIN, Texas — A Hutto man accused of two counts of indecency with a child by exposure in connection with a February 2023 incident has been arrested.

The U.S. Marshals-led Lone Star Fugitive Task Force took 35-year-old Jackie Cardell Selby Jr. into custody on Tuesday afternoon, according to a release.

Selby was wanted by the Hutto Police Department for the Feb. 19, 2023, incident, which happened in the 300 block of Arnage Drive in Hutto. The U.S. Marshals said authorities were called to the scene after reports of a man masturbating in front of a juvenile. Investigators with the Hutto Police Department said two juveniles were victimized during separate incidents.

On June 11, the Hutto Police Department requested assistance from the Austin division of the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force to apprehend Selby, who was known to the in the Austin area.

The task force said Selby had an additional warrant with Travis County on a bond forfeiture with an original charge of a sex offense.

Selby was arrested on June 30 in the 17400 block of Toyahville Trail in Round Rock, where he was reportedly hiding under a storage shed behind a residence to conceal himself from authorities. Selby was booked into the Williamson County Jail.

The U.S. Marshals say Selby was previously arrested in 2022 for an assault family violence with bodily injury charge that occurred in Round Rock.
