KYLE, Texas -- Firefighters helped to put out a garage fire in a Kyle neighborhood Wednesday afternoon.

The Kyle Fire Department said the call came in around 3:35 p.m. on the 300 block of Goddard near Interstate Highway 35.

Officials reported the fire started and was contained to the home's garage, though the cause of the flames is sill under investigation. The KFD said no injuries were reported but the homeowner was temporarily displaced while the department determines if the electric service can be turned back on.

The fire department could not provide a financial estimate on the damages, but said they were mainly contained to the garage with only light smoke damage inside the home.

The department responded to a second fire shortly after on Camino Real, in which a home was declared a "total loss."
