KYLE, Texas — Kyle police have arrested a suspect in a homicide case that left one person dead and another severely injured.
The Kyle Police Department responded to the 1200 block of Kirby Lane on Saturday around 11:50 p.m. in reference to an aggravated assault. Upon arrival, emergency responders found a deceased man and a severely injured woman.
Police said witnesses on scene reported that the suspect, a relative who lived in the residence, had stabbed the two victims and fled on foot. The suspect -- who was identified Monday as 20-year-old Giovanni Salinas -- was located and arrested a few blocks away.
The Kyle resident was charged with murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon (family violence), tampering with physical evidence and evading arrest.
