AUSTIN, Texas — Officials with Austin-Travis County EMS (ATCEMS) report that multiple crews responded to Arkansas Bend Park at Lake Travis on Saturday after an adult who went underwater failed to resurface.
Multiple first responder boats were on the scene after receiving a 911 call around 2:40 p.m. from someone on a boat. The missing person had been using an electric underwater scooter before going missing.
The mission transitioned from rescue to recovery just before 3:30 p.m. Crews have been searching the area using sonar, ATCEMS said.
