AUSTIN — A lawsuit claims more than a thousand women report sexual assault to the Austin Police Department every year, but very few of the cases actually end up in court.
On Monday, a judge will hear arguments for the lawsuit to decide whether the lawsuit will continue.

The plaintiffs say the Travis County District Attorney is using rape kits for "informational purposes," rather than prosecution.
The lawyers will have half an hour to argue their case in front of the judge.
