Crews complete repairs after water main hit in Leander

Service has been fully restored and residents are not under a boil water notice.

Crews have completed repairs and service has been fully restored after a water main was struck near Bagdad Road in Leander on Tuesday afternoon.

There is no boil water notice, the city said.

Some Leander residents experienced water pressure issues after the incident on Tuesday.

The city of Leander said around 12 p.m. on Tuesday, a utility company subcontractor hit an 18-inch water main. Crews with the City of Leander Public Works worked through the night to complete repairs and restored service by 5:45 a.m. on Wednesday.

"Amazing job, as always, by our dedicated Public Works team!" the city said on Wednesday.
