Man accused of taking money from Downtown Austin parking lot patrons arrested yet again

A suspect accused of taking money from people trying to park in Downtown Austin has been arrested, and police say this is far from his first offense.

AUSTIN — Operating a downtown parking lot can be a real cash cow, even for those who don't have any business being in the lot in the first place

Freddie Savage is in trouble yet again after being accused of posing as a parking lot attendant and taking money from people at a lot on East Fifth Street.

Police showed up Saturday night when people called complaining. One caller said Savage and another suspect tried to charge $15 for a spot.

Savage was arrested and police say he's been arrested numerous times for doing the same thing.
