Man faces second murder charge in Austin for March stabbing

A man is facing his second murder charge in the City of Austin after police said he stabbed a 51-year-old man to death in east Austin.

A man is facing his second murder charge in the City of Austin after police said he stabbed a 51-year-old man to death in east Austin.

Officials said they received a felony murder warrant for Charles Edward Reedy, 63,

On March 10, 2017, Austin-Travis County EMS said the stabbing happened at East 7th Street and Comal Street just before 8 p.m.

Medics administered CPR to the victim, identified as Glen Raymond Burford, 51. He was taken to University Medical Center Brackenridge where he later died.

On May 5, police said Reedy was located and arrested by the Lone Star Task. His bond is set at $100,000.

In 2001, Reedy was also arrested on a murder charge for the death of John Teller. He was convicted of the murder but was released in 2006 on appeal.
