The California man who was found guilty of stabbing his girlfriend to death in November 2014 has been sentenced to life in prison, according to KVUE’s partners at the Austin American-Statesman.
Joseph Karr, 55, was charged in the stabbing death of Kelly Turner, 43, at her best friend’s home on Nov. 1, 2014. The Statesman reported a witness woke up in the middle of the night when he heard Turner screaming, and later woke up to find Karr pacing with blood on his shirt.
Turner was a Southwest Airlines flight attendant who graduated from Westlake High School and the University of Texas. She and Karr lived in California and were visiting family and friends when she was killed.
