Hourslong SWAT call in East Austin ends peacefully

Police say they got a call about a disturbance at a home on Manor Road near Springdale Road.

AUSTIN, Texas — An Austin neighborhood is finally quiet again after a SWAT callout on Saturday evening that lasted into Sunday morning.

An official with the Austin Police Department said their officers were on the scene with Austin firefighters and paramedics for around six hours.

Police say they got a call about a disturbance at a home on Manor Road near Springdale Road in central East Austin. Officers responded around 11 p.m. on Saturday.

They stayed on the scene until around 5 a.m. Sunday morning.

Police say they were able to resolve the situation peacefully.

No injuries were reported, and no one has been arrested. Police are still investigating.
