AUSTIN, Texas — A Silver Alert has been issued for a missing 56-year-old woman who was last seen in East Austin on Wednesday afternoon.
The Austin Police Department is searching for Maria Teresa, who is diagnosed with a cognitive impairment.
She was last seen around 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 23 in the 1100 block of Tillery St.
Teresa is described as a Hispanic woman, 4 feet, 3 inches tall, 120 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a purple shirt with flowers, blue jeans and black shoes.
Law enforcement believe her disappearance poses a credible threat to her health and safety.
