AUSTIN — Some famous Longhorn alumni put on their burnt orange jerseys Thursday night for a competition against the University of Texas' biggest rival: The University of Oklahoma.
The Red River celebrity softball game happened in Frisco, Texas ahead of the Longhorn's anticipated game against University of Oklahoma Saturday, Oct. 6.
Just like in 2017, Matthew McConaughey and Vince Young threw out fastballs for the Longhorns, along with legacy UT baseball player Roger Clemens. Check out UT's full celebrity roster here.
For OU, Toby Keith and former Dallas Cowboy Roy Williams will suit up and attempt to defeat UT-Austin and ignite some momentum in OU before the game Saturday at 11 a.m. Check out OU's full celebrity roster here.
The celebrity softball game started at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, and ticket sales benefitted the Toby Keith Foundation, Roger Clemens Foundation and J.K. Livin Foundation.
