AUSTIN — A lockout has been lifted at McBee Elementary School Monday afternoon after police received reports about a suspicious incident.
No students were inside of the school due to a student holiday. However, teachers and staff were inside working, according to Austin Independent School District. Officials received a report from a teacher about a suspicious noise. Staff was evacuated safely to a nearby fire station so police could search the building. After searching the building, the building was cleared
According to Austin ISD, the lockout means the school has closed and locked all of their exterior doors, but business is allowed to continue inside as normal.
