OK, so Matthew McConaughey has not given an official comment on the exciting news, but by judging the photos of him posted on UT's Twitter page he seems pretty pumped about it.
McConaughey also stopped by to visit Longhorn baseball players to give some words of wisdom. In a video shared by UT Baseball via Twitter, McConaughey talks about post season and why it's important.
"Here you go in post-season, where everything really counts. It's ding-ding, it's go time," said McConaughey. "When you head out there, it's live man. Take one. It's live."
He also congratulated Kody Clemens who is up for a Golden Spikes award via Twitter.
This will be the first time UT will host a regional tournament since 2011. While there is no confirmation on the dates yet, the NCAA did confirm Texas A&M, Indiana and Texas Southern will play at Texas' Capital.
