HAYS COUNTY, Texas — On Wednesday, the Hays County Sheriff's Office honored a police officer who was killed in the line of duty with a memorial ceremony.
San Marcos police officer Ken Copeland was shot and killed while serving a warrant last December and is the officer that will be honored in the memorial ceremony.

The remembrance ceremony for him was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Hays County Government Center in San Marcos.
